Departure Day: the India Adventure Begins!

Well, I’m about 30 minutes away from leaving Coxsackie for the last time in a month. As you can see below, I’m all packed up and I’m ready to go.

Ready to DepartI can’t seem to get it to upload right-side up, so this will have to be good enough.

The past few days have been a bit hectic. Last night, I arrived home to find a message from my answering machine indicating that my flight from JFK to London had been canceled, and I should call the airline. As you can imagine, that was a little stressful. Fortunately, I called the airline and they simply put me on a flight that was leaving 30 minutes earlier.

I finished packing this morning, and am finally ready (I hope), to start my 24 hour journey from Coxsackie to Kolkata, India. Thanks for checking in. I’ll try to write as soon as I can from India.

  1. So, you should buy me a postcard.
And Sandra wants a thimble. She’ll pay you back!
    I won’t.

  2. Hope you have a safe trip!!! Enjoy your travels and keep us updated!!!

  3. Dear Mr. Roberg,
That’s a nice backpack you’ve got there. Where did you get it? Did your favorite sister loan it to you?
Just wanted to wish you a wonderful and safe trip. I promise to take good care of Mrs. Roberg while you are gone.

P.S. I doubt Flat Cat can keep YOU out of trouble but wish him luck for me!

  4. Mister Roberg! You have to be really detailed about India, on account of I really want to go there one day!
Where else are you supposed to go too?

  5. Hey Leif!! bon voyage!! stay safe! as my mom would say “st. christopher be your guide”! can’t hurt! Peace, Mary

  6. ps: have fun!

  7. Mrs. McNeil, Mrs. Weinstein and I were chatting at lunch while looking at a world map trying to find where you are. We were wondering what route the airline took. There is a lot of “activity” in that neck of the world and wondered how the airline maneuvered around these “hot spots”

    The curiosity is killing us!!!

    Hope you are having fun!!!

  9. How does a hotel in India compare to one in the US?

  10. Hi Leif! I just wanted to say hi and that we all miss you down at the bistro. I was there earlier today and was asking Kirsten how you were doing. I hope you are having a good time and finding lots of important, educational information. Sorry that we couldn’t get together when Jared was home to have our game night! Ok, talk to ya later…I’ll try to keep up with your travels. Godspeed!
